چکیده
Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety between chemotherapy radiotherapy as main therapy of Extranodal Marginal Zone Lymphoma (EMZL). Method: Literature searching was conducted using PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, ProQuest, SpringerLink. All studies that met inclusion exclusion criteria were categorized based on level evidence. The data demographic patients, staging disease, type treatments, outcomes this review including number local control rate, disease-free survival overall dosage, adverse drug reaction, complication recurrence and/or relapses also reported. Result: From ten article, both first-line treatment have high complete remission rate. Local (complete remission) group ranged from 56,25%-93,9%, while in 70%-100%. Overal rate 92%-100% for 90,4%-100% group. most cataract formation, showed systemic complications (hematologic or non-hematologic). relapse cases shown Conclusion: Radiotherapy rates especially early stages extranodal marginal zone lymphoma had a relatively higher incidence ophthalmic could interfere with patient’s quality life. Therefore be considered younger patients.

Efficacy of chemotherapy as a first-line treatment in ocular adnexal extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma.
BACKGROUND Radiotherapy is commonly used as a first-line treatment for localized ocular adnexal extranodal marginal zone B-cell lymphoma (EMZBL), despite its ophthalmologic complications. This study was undertaken to analyze the efficacy of first-line chemotherapy in treating EMZBL. Chemotherapy was followed by radiotherapy only in recurrent cases. PATIENTS AND METHODS Twenty-one patients wit...

AIM Extranodal mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) arises a number of epithelial tissues, including the stomach, salivary gland, lung, small bowel, and elsewhere. Here we present a male patient with an uncommon site of extranodal MALT such as a pelvic mass diagnosed after a long period of evaluation, which initially presented with an incidental pulmonary nodule. METHOD We report a 60 yea...

PURPOSE To evaluate the efficacy of radiotherapy (RT) for early-stage nodal and extranodal marginal zone lymphoma (MZL). MATERIALS AND METHODS Patients with stage I (n = 22) and stage II (n = 8) MZL, who were treated with RT were reviewed. The primary tumor localisation was in the orbita (n = 12), stomach (n = 8), head and neck other than the orbita (n = 8), breast (n = 1) and one case of mar...
متن کاملExtranodal marginal zone lymphoma of the ocular adnexa.
Lymphomas of the ocular adnexa are a heterogeneous group of malignancies, composing approximately 1% to 2% of non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHLs) and 8% of extranodal lymphomas. The most common subtype, accounting for up to 80% of cases of primary ocular adnexal lymphoma, is marginal zone lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) type. In the recent past, there have been significant advance...

Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL) is an extranodal non-Hodgkin lymphoma involving brain, intraocular structures and spinal cord, without evidence of systemic disease. The majority of PCNSLs are diffuse large B-cell type. We encountered a rare case of primary dural marginal zone lymphoma of mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT) with extension into the brain in a 59-year-old man....
